Founding attorney, Jessica Stokes-Johnson, is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Mississippi State University and a Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law located in Houston, Texas.
Prior to going into private practice, Mrs. Stokes-Johnson was a Trust Administrative Officer for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, she clerked for Judge Tim Taft of the Texas 1st Court of Appeals, and interned with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Secretary of the State of Georgia.
Being licensed in four jurisdictions, Mrs. Stokes-Johnson is able to draw from an abundance of experience to get her clients the results they seek. Whether it be a court appointed client or one that has chosen to retain her services directly, Mrs. Stokes-Johnson approaches each matter with the same dedication and respect.
Mrs. Stokes-Johnson is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, the Federal Court of the Eastern District of Virginia, and the State of Illinois. She is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem in Prince William County, Virginia and was awarded the prestigious 2016 Prince William County Bar Association Guardian Ad Litem of the Year award. Additionally, Mrs. Stokes-Johnson is a member of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, American Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. Her community involvement includes Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross of America, and Big Brother Big Sister. She is happily married and has two children, a daughter and a stepson.
